time server

I've just wired myself up to broadband.

Vroom, vroom!

My router has an option for using a time server. Does F9 provide one, or can anyone suggest one I can use? (the user interface needs a static IP address, rather than a domain name)

Re: Time Servers

Hi,

Firstly No! I dont think F9 have a time server, and secondly if you run a web search on such as google you will find many time servers. There is a whole list for the UK. I regularly use Manchester University's various time servers, also UU.Net have a time server that you can synch with. Some organisations make there time servers available for public internet use and others are closed to the public.

**PS: Obviously microsoft have there own I think its called time.windows.com

I use the Force( one

It is available at ntp.force9.net although I don't think it is a guaranteed resource, more it just happens to be there.

time server

thanks peeps

I've tried some of the timeservers suggested (with numeric IP address), but my router is having none of it.

I'll have to try the manufacturer's support site.

It well be a PEBKAS situation, though.
