I can give you several.

1) Orange support is currently ranked as one of the worst available.

2) You're tied in to orange broadband for 2 years. That's a long time, especially given that:

3) Your data transfer limit is 2gb per month, and

4) You only have a 2mb speed for the £14.99 package. If you want 8mb that'll be £19.99 a month, with the same data transfer limit.

Hope this helps,

If you want confirmation as to how bad Orange is then have a look at

http://www.dslzoneuk.net/isp_ratings.php#

and then read the comments from Orange users.

You will then see hundreds of reasons as to why you should not switch to them.

When a company give away free laptop to try and tie you in to their broadband, something must be wrong .

Switching to SKY

Switch to SKY, it's free!!!

The only problem is trying to get Plus net to give you the MAC code.

They don't seem to want to answer your emails all of a sudden when you want to leave.

All you Plus net customers are paying through the nose and Plus net are laughing all the way to the bank.

That because PlusNet do not provide support via e-mail, you have to use the ticket system, link:contact us.

How can it be free when the only way you can receive it is by paying a subscription to SKY.

All MAC keys are provided within the 5 day period specified in the ofcom regulations.

I moved from Orange to PlusNet just over a year ago - I had been with them since they took over Freeserve (and with Freeerve since 1997). I would not go back to them for just for a free laptop with a 2 year tie in and a fixed speed - even with the ups and downs (or should that be downs and ups?!)of PlusNet over the last twelve months!

Here is a couple of reasons:
Download limits with Orange broadband is rubbish,
The spec of the free laptop is not much better than my Commodore 64,
you don't get a static IP with Orange broadband.

In truth though, I am an Orange mobile custommer after being through all the other companies over the years and am very happy with my Orange phone.
