sky signals through glass

Does anyone know if it is possible to recieve sky tv signals through glass. I live in a flat and am not allowed to put a diah outside. Just looking for an answer, if there is one. Smiley

Yes you can, but I don't know how good it would be, the signal loss from the glass would take a fair toll on the quaility, you also need to bear in mind getting right position as well.

I tried to set up one of Lidl 57cm satellite dishes in spare bedroom, pointing through window. Very awkward and it really sticks a long way into room. Didn't get a signal. Gave up and screwed it to garden wall at ground level. Still no signal until I discovered that what I believed to be 22 degrees of elevation was actually much more!
At 22 degrees elevation the dish points downwards.
No idea why or how it gets the signal, but it works on Astra at 28 degrees east.
Pity most of the channels are crap.
