'rumpus' running slowly

Has anyone else noticed that 'rumpus' is running slowly? Seems there have been problems for the past two days. Tried to load a page earlier but came back saying there was a problem a number of times. When it does work, it often takes up to 5 seconds to return a page.

'rumpus' running slowly

from Jonathan Whiting on the Services Updates forum:

>Our engineers have now identified and rectified the problem that was
>causing customer's sites to load slowly when trying to access either of the
>MySQL servers.

>We apologise for the inconvenience that this may have caused.

but one of my sites still can't connect to the database (rumpus).

I dont know if you all know already but the rumpus host is @ rumpus.force9.net

It needs to be the whole hostname not just "rumpus" in your mysql_coonnect() scripts...

rumpus

Yeah - It's working, just slowly. I can't remember it ever being what I would call 'fast', especially in peak hours. We are shifting our SQL because it's now needed for the whole site to work rather than just the odd forum etc. Can't risk Rumpusitis.
