mysql_connect PHP apache on win32

I am running apache on my home pc so I can test scripts at home. CGi is working fine, but I am trying PHP scripts. I've got them working except that mysql_connect function is missing even though the php.ini says it is included in build (no seperate dll needed?)

Anyone else got win32 apache and php running and mysql_connect is working. How do I get it to work?

mysql_connect PHP apache on win32

Did you ever solve this one, if not I might be able to help, I have Apache, PHP and mysql running fine at home. I just need a bit more information.

As far as I'm aware there is no need for extra dlls to get the mysql_connect function to work as mysql is built into the php distribution.

Do you have MySQL installed or are you trying to access the F9 database? You can only access databases within your LAN (or running on the same machine) so the F9 is off limits.

Hope I can help
