Cancelled subscriptions to most of them as I could never find the time to read them. Do still get the free Computer Weekly mag, especially superior now that it has been changed to 'compact' format.
For the rest of it I tend to read The Register RSS Feeds available, and even more handily I have it as part of my personalised Google Homepage.
This allows regular at-a-glance snapshots of the headlines, and by having IE7 (Beta2) installed the tabbed format means its not too much of a pain to keep checking back. (I believe the format is similar to the Firefox format, although I'm not up on it)
Back to your question though, I don't subscibe to any paid magazines, as again I don't have a great deal of time to read them, and as most are monthly, the editorial tends to be a bit behind the CW or Register Ed's.

I used to use computeractive and had a subscription to it at one point. Now I find it a little boring and don't buy it unless there is a article I want to read. I usually buy MicroMart and am considering a subscription to it. I occaisionally buy other magazines if there is an article I want to read but not very often.

I've tried various magazines in the past - about computers, music and photography - and never really liked them. I find they're annoying, over-comercialised, full of adverts, with rarely any more depth than can be found in online editorials etc... so I just read stuff online stead. Much cheaper!

I used to subscribe to Personal Computer World and Computer Shopper but, like kuglin I find them annoying due to insufficient depth (and they should be in two parts-- the ads to be recycled at the end of their very short use by date and the articles for possible filing for future reference!) I really must clear out my back issues which take up far too much space!

I also used to get Byte when that was around-- definitely superior to most others-- and occasionally PC Magazine

All I tend to get now is Micro Computer Mart which has some quite good contributors particularly in the area of Linux, although the price has been steadily rising

I get the Computer Shopper newsletter online but it's usually a week or two behind El Reg and Slashdot

I dont read any magazines either, they wouldn't help me with my work because although what I do can be very wideranging from day to do its usually regarding niche technologies. I find most magazines and lengthy articles boring.

Currently;

    PCW
    PC Pro
    Computer Weekly (FOC)

Computer weekly, the NHS bits are of most interest. The new compact format is great.

PCW and PC Pro, are both gift subscriptions, great for when you can not think of for a birthday present idea’s.
I get board with the writing format of a magazine over time, so I may change one of them to PC Plus, if I get offered the chance come birthday time. Cheesy

CustomPC (all the time) and Gigahz (when I find it on sale which is not often heh).

CustomPC is a great mag, not really noob friendly at all. Almost everything in there is pretty technical and its a good read for people who are into the insides of their PC. They also do some great reviews, and proper reviews.

They use thermal imaging cameras to test cases for heat and rate them on how little or how much there can be seen through the camera. They also have been known to fly out to Germany with a load of PSUs and test them on 1 of the only systems available in Europe that can fully load test power supplies effectively.

Quite a few blew up! lol

They go the extra mile in reviewing gear, and when a product comes in that is under the mark.. They will slate it and not batt an eyelid - which is fantastic. There is one in this months where a Lian-Li £130 case just gets smacked down, a £50 case from PC World beats it for air dissapation even though Lian-Li spent ages making air guides and such for the perticular case.

It just goes to show that quality is not always governed by the price tag.

Sorry to go on, but I also have to mention how I admire that they review ATI/nVidia battles with no bias. Same goes for Intel/AMD. Worth a few quid every month in my eyes.

I used to read PC Answers but stopped about 2-3 years ago. Now I only tend to read them if I'm going on a train journey and I want something to read... and hten it's whatever happens to be in the shop at the station.

I don't tend to read any magazines, really - IT or not.

Last time I wanted something to do on a long train journey, I bought a Sudoku book from the WH Smiths store in the station - about the price of two magazines, and substantially more entertaining (although the book did get boring too after a while...)

They've always been filling them with 95% crap, 5% useful stuff-- you're probably becoming more discerning with the advancing years! Tongue

I'm a subscriber to .net and have been since about 2000. I've always found it very interesting, informative and valuable.
