Hmm, so the answer is a stick then. Cry

Was hoping there would be a different punchline this time!

Can't wait to see some tool wandering about with one of them though

Thats just made me think of a tip that people may find useful. Smiley

I needed to ship a load of data from my PC to another one thats not on my network and my daughter has "nicked" my pen drive and taken it to use at uni.

I was contemplating burning the 800MB+ of files onto a DVD but the other PC didn't have a DVD drive.

Then a brainwave struck

My digital camera has a 1gig SD card and connects via USB to a PC. So I just copied all the files onto my camera and took that along to the other PC.
Plugged the USB cable in and dumped the files onto the remote PC.

So your camera can also double up as a memory stick.

You must have one of these fancy ones then?

Can you also get it to bark like a dog when you take a piccie?

I'm sure I once saw somebody with a camera that barked when the shutter release was pressed - perhaps I'm barking up the wrong tree?

(At least the bark link, however tenuous, keeps us OT)

Nah, we just want to show off our shiny Halloween Avatar*, (courtesy of Mr Essex)

Looks cool to have them all in a row like that!

EDIT: * Forum Rank image, not an avatar at all, the avatar is below the forum rank image. Sorry for any confusion.

On the subject of USB memory stick things, and digital camera memory cards, why not get something that is both at once. I use one (just the 512MB version); very handy for getting things from digital camera -> Treo -> computer (in any order).

I think that's a great idea - I might try it myself! Why limit it to sticks? You could use all sorts of found objects.
