Isn't it just sods law that the same day that i receive an email from plusnet telling me my adsl is active, my home phone line acts up and now i cant make or receive any calls, or get on my internet connection. Currently using a friends connection. Sounds a bit suspicious to me, like BT have made a balls up when activating my line!

Forgive me if its a silly question, but have you fitted a filter to your telephone socket? This is needed to separate the high frequency ADSL signal from the low frequency phone signal. Without it you will get problems with the phone. Look at the Tutorials and FAQs section for more info.

yes, i had a filter fitted, im all sorted now though, bt engineer been out, there was a problem in my building, im 1 of many appartments and another engineer has disconnected me by mistake! oops.
