Slow logging-on

Since switching to ADSL it takes a long time to connect to Force9.

I'm using Win98 and the connection dialog shows "Verifying user name and password" for about a minute before finally hiding and allowing me to surf.

BTW: The ADSL is already running at this point - it connects straight away, and once the Force9 connection is established it runs fine.

RE: Slow logging-on

Hi,

This is normally caused by the option "Log onto server" being ticked in the properties of the dial up connection. If you right click on the dial up icon for your connection and then select properties, you can turn this off from the "Server Types" tab in the properties window.
