MAILTO=""

at the top of the crontab should stop it trying to email you (hence why it appears in that file).

Running cron jobs, and the Mailbox file

I have a crontab set up to run a small php file every few minutes. It works fine except that it creates an entry in the Mailbox file everytime it runs. This file grows quite rapidly in size. Without having to keep deleting it is there any way to stop the output going into there, or even just the errors?

Thanks a lot.

Thinking further (as always, just to be annoying or helpful depending who reads this), could it be done where the output is sent to a script, for instance a script to filter out any errors and report on them?

Thanks for the help.

You can get it emailed to you, but I'm not sure about scripts.
