Personal P2P - Between 2 PCs on Broadband using PC Anywhere

I'm sneaking this into the P2P forum because it dosen' t seem to fit anywhere else. I want to share files with my son-in-law - me on Plusnet BB and him on BT - what settings do we use -it can't be the PC IP as there's millons out there with throuter dictated address,
Regards,
John

I would have thought that you could both use MSN Messenger to send the files?
I use it all the time to swap Photos with a friend.

P2P will allow anyone to access your files.
Best to use a messenger as John suggests.

Or use your webspace as a repository for the files (upped by FTP), which can then be downloaded by either party at your leisure. You have 250Mb of space.
This has the advantage that you don't both have to be online at the same time.

Messenger 6.x also has a handy File Sharing feature (not the same as normally sending files) where you can queue up lots of files to upload, which the recipient can then download at their leisure.
