Mime types

Hi,

I have a problem which I think relates to mime types set by the F9 servers. I would like .asc and .pgp files on one of my web pages to be opened by the client browser using the default application rather than treated as text/plain. This appears to be what the servers are setting and hence the files are displayed as text in the browser window rather than opened with the default application by the client.

As I understand it, this requires that the server MIME/TYPE lists have an entry specifying ASC and PGP extensions as a mime type in their own right rather than, presumably, defaulting to text/plain.

Does anyone know whether there is any way this can be achieved?

Thanks,

Mike

Look at the tutorial on the Apache Web Server's .htaccess file, which has a section on setting MIME types.

Great! Just what I wanted and now working as intended.

Thanks very much for your assistance.
