Mac printing problem

I have a Brother HL1440 printer with parallel and USB connectors. I also have a Netgear PS101 Print Server which plugs into a parallel connector. The PS101 is plugged into the printer and the Server is connected to a switch.

I have manually assigned an IP to the server and can talk to it via IE.

The Brother PPDs are in the chooser and I can use them with Laserwriter 8. Problem is the Printer just sits there doing nothing apart from giving a steady Data light.

The PPDs are for a networked printer - the 1470N.

Have I screwed up? Please be gentle with me!

Best Wishes

How to solve a MAC printing problem.

BUY A PC!

Sorry only joking, Can't you just use the PPDs for the 1440.
