Disconnections.

Hi

Why is it F9 has just annouced...
---------------------------------------------
Our Engineers are continuing investigations on the earlier problem with our ADSL
equipment.

We believe this may have resulted in some customers being disconnected, however these
customers should be able to reconnect straight away.

Customers who are still experiencing problems connecting or being presented with a BT
Wholsale Status page should power down their equipment for at least 15 minutes and try to
reconnect.
--------------------------------------------
I have had this problem 6-8 weeks and because my SYN light is continuous then its the BT line/my line or equiptment.....is F9 saying you can be disconnected with out going out of SYN and it be there problem....

I had BT check my line and he was out 2 hours checking the feeds to my house etc and I am still suffering disconnection......Once my sister gets ADSL in her new house she can test my modem/router and if thats ok then all i can do is move to another ISP Sad which i dont want to do....

Regards

John

No

If BT sorted it, it did because I rang them after spending 7 weeks been asked the 16 questions by F9...before they would get in touch with BT.

They checked connection from exchange to my property.

BT Quip Ivan

Hi John,

Sorry! it was just meant to be a humorous quip of mine, I just meant BT are a pain when it comes to non BT ISP (Force9) customers who have faults that require fixing. They act at snails pace, its infurating & exasperating. So has your problem been sorted out yet?

Hi

Last contact ticket said to ask BT to do a PTSN test.

I went on-line on the BT site and it said my line was ok but maybe the comments about what F9 had asked me to get them to do worked.

But I still think the fact I was having to reconnect, one day 128 times made me think it was F9....either way its ok now!!!! So much for me nearly returning my belkin modem/router....
