CGI FTP access

I am attempting to emulate the instructions given on using PHP to contact a MySQL database. I have prepared the file mydbtest.php as instructed. I can make contact (using WS_FTP) with the CGI space satisfactorily. At the stage of transferring the file, I get the error message "Connected to 212.159.3.15 port 3828 STOR mydbtest.php 503 No PORT command issued first" Please advise on action needed!

The solution to this problem was found on the WS-FTP website in the knowledge base. On the Session Properties' dialogue box, Advance tab, uncheck the passive transfers box. The transfer then works.
