Any Photoshop users here?

A longshot I know:but is there anyway that anyone is aware of to overlay a movable grid over an image? I know there is an option to show a grid but I would like to be able to actually move the grid to make sure latitude and longitude lines are precisly vertical and horizontal for calibrating charts.Or perhaps there is an easier way to do it.

Thanks

Any Photoshop users here?

Hi Ian

Im not entirely sure as ive not used PS for a while as i can usually get by with elements most of the time

Ive just fired up photoshop to see and all i could come up with this late at night was to go to file then new make it transparent and the same size as the picture your working on fill it with a grid and drop its opacity down so you can see your underlying picture

I was able to move the new grid over my picture to where i wanted it, would that do what your asking or are you after something a bit more ?

Ill have another go tomorrow when im not so tired

Bill.

I think you need to create guides (view - new guide) and not grids (I don't think you can create grids Smiley )
