An explanation why ADSL Max does not live up to expectations

For all you ADSL Max complainers Evil , you might be interested in this article published in "Computing" magazine on 1st June 2006.

http://www.computing.co.uk/computing/analysis/2157435/speed

It describes how ADSL Max is BT's first attempt at improving broadband speed and admits that it was released as an incomplete and imperfect implementation which is intended to be tweaked after installation.
The good news is they are already working on the next generation of ADSL Max, but presumably also based on incomplete and imperfect technology. :!:

So that would explain why there have been so many teething issues Shockedops: seen by those of us lucky :?: enough to have been upgraded, and perhaps why BT have been been upgrading so few people at a time, so they can learn from all the problems as they go.
