Can anyone get on the site

www.adobe.com

or

www.adobe.co.uk

I cannot get onto either, and want to download the free reader, and even other sites such as download.com direct the download back to the site, so still cannot download it, am using both IE and mozilla firefox 1.0

Works here, and isn't slow.

Have you tried a reboot?

Would it be possible to paste a traceroute to the website so we can see where the connection is failing?

That's very strange. You can trace to plusnet but get nothing for adobe.

Do you have a software firewall iinstalled.?If so, try disabling it and try the tracert again.

What software firewall are you using. Some need to be uninstalled before they are deactivated. Just disabling them may not actually do it.

Also what ADSL equipment are you using. If it's a router try rebooting it & the PC.

software is mcafee 2004, router is an origo 4 port 8400, have tried this over a few days, and at night modem is turned off completley,

in the meantime tho, someone uploaded it to yousendit.com for me, so have managed to get the program, this is still a puzzle tho lol!!
