4mb & 8mb loop loss limits??

Can anyone tell me if BT are revising the loop loss limits?
I currently have 1mb but live far enough away to have a loop loss of 58db.
Being on the very limit of 1mb which is 60db I am wondering if the new 4mb is likely to be available to me.

4mb & 8mb loop loss limits??

Hi,

I can confirm that when the next generation of broadband come on stream after April 2006 local loop lost limits will change. Exactly what they will be I dont know yet but it has been mentioned that some users currently either physically too far away from the exchange to get say a full 2Megs or who have high noise levels will probably get a faster service. So those on 1Meg might realistcially get 2megs and those on 2megs might get 3-4 megs etc.

Yes! limits will be relaxed and so those with marginal quality or marginal service may gain a more solid service or just a faster one. But essentially its still a wait and see game at the moment.
