PlusNet released a 2Mb home product last year, prior to BT trialing the proper 2Mb Home product.

Now the product has gone live, PlusNet are moving the customers supplied with the earlier product, to the newer one.

This move will not cost the customer anything.

However, customers are being given the oportunity to move to a lower contention 2Mb product for free, if they wish to continue taking advantage of the specific connection they have now.

This free product change would be to the Teleworker product, which does have a greater monthly charge.

20:1 to 50:1

Originally all 2mB connections were at 20:1 despite the fact that customers may have signed up for a 50:1 as 20:1 was all that BT supplied.

They have now made 50:1 available and PlusNet are just changing the accounts to what they have been requested as originaly.

20:1 to 50:1

In practice it should not change the speed.

PlusNet have now said they will not perform the action as noted in the e-mail, but rather rewrite the e-mail correctly showing full and propper information about the timescales, long with what it involves and means to your connection.
