Just moved onto the above plan. My line stats are:
Uptime 2 day, 14:35:44
DSL type ITU-T G992.1
Bandwidth (up/down) 8 / 5.216
Line att (up/down) 17.0 / 28.0
SN Margin (up/down) 27.0 / 11.1
I believe this shows I am on ADSL, up to 8Mb? At present my IP profile shows 4.6Mb and hasn't changed for 5 days.
Does the "training"period allow for me to be changed to ADSL2 or 2+, up to 20Mb.
My line is showing as having ADSL2+ available.
I asked this question yesterday and would appreciate a reply to let me know whats happening.
Thanks.

While waiting for a Plusnet response I would suggest trying the test socket and report the stats.
The reason for this is that with that attenuation you should be getting higher speeds even on ADSL1 - probably 7150kbps as your line is almost certainly interleaved

Hi hmburg52,
Having looked into this I can see that since you raised this post you have been in touch with our support team who have uncapped your service from the "up to 8mb" service to the full ADSL2+ product as can be seen below:
Profile Info: WBC 160K - 24M Medium delay (INP 1) 6dB Downstream, UC Medium delay (INP 2) 6dB Upstream (ADSL2+)
Upstream DSL Link Information Downstream DSL Link Information
Loop Loss: 16.8 31.0
SNR Margin: 14 7
Errored Seconds: 0 0
HEC Errors: 0
Cell Count: 27083 142570
Speed: 888 6106
Unfortunately due to the length of line you are unlikely to see much additional speed.
As the estimate for the line is a little higher (8mb), it might be worth trying it plugged in from the test socket to see if the sync speed does increase at all.
