Re: Thinking of switching to PN, couple of questions

Thanks Chris,
I've ordered a new line and fibre broadband today for our remote office, and added pretty much most of the extras onto it too.
It mentioned a static IP can be requested, but doesn't give any details of how to go about this.  As we'll need this for VPN, is this something you can sort for me, or would it need a ticket?
Username is canfordmanufac
Thanks

Hi Carl,
That's great! I've PM'd you the Static IP address so you have it ready for the provision.

Re: Thinking of switching to PN, couple of questions

Well, Mr BT turned up yesterday and everything seemed to have gone fine.  Line was installed, all hooked up, and sync'd around 26mb so I'm told.
Shame the area has a power cut today so I can't do anything with it.  ha.
Edit:  Was surprised, when I read this that was posted yesterday, :
Quote
The offers are available for new business customers signing up to a 24 month contract.
•Business Fibre from just £11 a month for the first 12 months, with line rental at £10.50 a month.  With 50GB monthly usage and up to 76Mb speeds this super fast fibre optic package is ideal for multiple users sharing lots of data or uploading large file sizes.

Typical, if I'd have waited two weeks, I could have had £11/month instead of £23/month for 12 months out of our 24..
Is there anything we can do with my monthly price seeing as it's only two weeks since it was taken out, and the offer seems to have been the same day it was installed?   Wink

I think it's probably unlikely, but feel free to give the Business Support Team a call and see if there is anything they can do Smiley
Their number is 0800 028 0282.

Re: Thinking of switching to PN, couple of questions

Something else I'm confused at;
Just received this e-mail today;
Quote
Now that your service has now been active for 14 days, we thought we'd let you know the speed as it stands today, by way of comparison.
Estimated line speed: 2.5Mbps
Current line speed: 21.4Mbps
You can keep a track of your line speed through our website:

I was never estimated 2.5mb, it was always around the 20mb mark. ha
Is this estimation the ADSL speed instead of the Fibre estimation?
