I recently changed to a business fibre account, and one of the stated provisions was a Static IP Address. Since the change (and it was on a new fibre line) the DLM has been making subtle changes which have improved the line characteristics a lot, but of course every time it does this the gateway changes, and I seem to be provided with a different IP address.
I have looked at various IP checkers and they all show that the service is Static, but dispensed by a dynamic IP address server on the PN network. When the line settles down will the IP address actually remain static as it's supposed to be, or am I missing something here?
