RDNS for FTTC business connection

Hi

Long story, but we moved premises just over a year ago - and we purchased PlusNet FTTC through our telecoms provider for our data and telephone system.

I host a Exchange Server and some small client portals on the connection, what is the process for getting the rDNS to match the host name? I don't have a valid logon to portal.plus.net to create a ticket - but I do have all of the PPPOE logon details, if you need to verify who I am?

Thanks in advance.

Paul

Re: RDNS for FTTC business connection

Hi @CITISupport,

Your rDNS can be set to any of the following:

1 - username.plus.com – This is the default setting.

2 - IP.plus.com - 1-1-1-1.plus.com as an example.

3 - anything.domain.com - e.g. mail.bbc.co.uk – To use this option you will need to configure the forward record on the domain. We are required to prove you own the domain before any changes can be made and this will serve as verification. The domain can be hosted on the account or externally.

However, as this is a partner account, we are unable to administer this change from here. Please can you contact your reseller and they should be able to arrange this for you.
