I have 2 teleworker accounts both with their dedicated phone lines. Line One has been on Max ADSL for about a year or more and syncs at down 8128kbps up 832kbps. The speed obtained is around 6500 to 6600 kbps down and 715 kbps up. Line 2 (Line in box 3 ft away from the first) was until recently a fixed 2mb line. I aked for it to be upgraded to 8mb. The line is used for a server which goes through the Netgear Gigabit 8 port ethernet switch box (as is the first) and has a 1gb speed because the server runs Windows Server 2003. Line 2 syncs at 8128kbps up 832kbps. However the speed is still 2mb. Example 1898 kbps (237kB/s) 713 kbps (89.1kB/s). I have waited and waited for the speed to increase on download but nothing has happened. Is it stuck? Connection Settings says it set to 7000 kbps. Apart from the filter - modem and Gigabit box there is nothing else on the line whilst line one is connected to the house internally line 2 is straight in. Can some kind soul help?
