Hello,
Business 80/20 BB:
I have a Netgear Nighthawk X4R7500 router connected to the OpenReach modem.
How do I discover the SNR please?
Netgear have said that I will need to access the modem for the full DSL stats.
Cheers Guy.

Hi,
I now have a modem that is unlocked and I am getting 6.8db downstream and 15.8db upstream. It's the upstream where I have issues I'm getting 14 from a potential of 20. Images are attached
I called PlusNet support today and they tell me, because my BB is FTTC, they cannot do anything regarding the SNR.
Guy

Your line is in sync at the maximum possible speed so a high noise margin is good
Why the upstream speed test is low I don't know but if you run this test it may give an indication http://www.thinkbroadband.com/speedtest.html?utm_source=mainsite&utm_medium=navigation&utm_campaign=...

This is beyond me but the reference to buffer bloat is perhaps part of the problem
http://forums.thinkbroadband.com/general/4405887-dslreports-new-speedtest-also-checks-for-bufferbloa...
I hope that some of the more knowledgeable posters may be able to help
One quick check
What is the MTU set in your router
