Change DNS records for site hosting but keep MX records for Plusnet mail

Hi,

We have had a domain registered and hosted with Plusnet for the past eighteen years. The site is currently hosted on their ccgi webspace but I understand it’s not possible to install an SSL certificate there. So it looks like we will have to host it with a different provider.

Is it possible to change the DNS records for our website, to host it elsewhere, but keep the MX records so the domain mailboxes stay with Plusnet?

Thanks for any help,

Dave

Fix

Hi @DaveDoc,

The answer is yes.

This is something that you would need to do from the member centre. You can do this by going to the domain configure page through this link

The page will tell you how to do it but feel free to get back to us for any further queries.

Re: Change DNS records for site hosting but keep MX records for Plusnet mail

Hi

Many thanks for the fast responce.

Once we are setup on the new hosting platform, we will change the settings.

Will I have to change any details for email or will the mailboxes stay as they are at present?

Thanks, Dave

Hey @DaveDoc

They *should* stay the same in theory.

Please let us know if this is not the case and we will look into it accordingly.

Thanks,

MoR
