(Business) Downloading multiple torrent files at once

When I am Downloading multiple (legal)  torrent files at the same time using my connection, the whole connection locks up and I need to reboot my router to get me online again. It sometimes works ok but other times eventually is locks up. 

I am using a TP Link router as for some unusual reason on the standard plusnet router for Business connections there is no option to set the DHCP scope. 

Is this normal with other users?  i wanted to check. 

I may use the plusnet router again to see If it is the router that is causing the issue or the plusnet connection.

If you're maxing out your connection completely then you may be causing an issue known as Bufferbloat. You can find out more information regarding this here.

It may be worth setting a max download speed in your torrent client to avoid causing this in future.

Possibly. 

When this happens the local traffic stops and  stopping the torrent traffic does not resolve it. 

I have enabled QoS and will monitor.
