Anyone know why Plusnet Business is so much more expensive than BT?

I need to decide on a new contract. I am with Plusnet Business and am very happy, but it is so expensive compared to BT Business.
Any ideas why? What am I missing?
All on a 24 month contract basis, broadband only, not including VAT:
Plusnet Business
£20 per month
£7 prioritisation per month
24 X (£20+£7) = £648
BT Business
£20 per month (priotisation included)
6 month free special offer
18 X 20 = £360
So it will cost me £288 to stay with Plusnet. Add VAT and that is £345!!
I love the service and really don't like BT but £345 is a lot of money .
Am I missing something about how great Plusnet is for that difference?

Nope, just go to BT, its safer there 
Bare in mind though that BT Biz may charge monthly fee for Static IP were Plusnet does it for activation cost only, but weighing that up against the priority it will work out cheaper still!

Where did you get those prices from?  I can't see any business products at those price points on either Plusnet or BT.

You ring BT Business and tell them you are thinking of leaving Plusnet, and that's the offer they will make. Or at least they did with me. I don't need a static IP so that's fine. I use a dynamic DNS service.
The disappointment is that when you ring Plusnet to say that you might be leaving because of the price difference, they say sorry we can't do anything. I estimate that the price difference is about £288 over two years. £12 per month, plus VAT of course. Not a trivial amount of money?

I can see: BT Business

18/1 Broadband - Unlimited on an existing line - £20 month
75/18 Infinity - Unlimited on an existing line - £40 per month
For PN
18/1 Broadband unlimited £5 per month (12 months) then £13 per month
75/18 Infinity unlimited £10 per month then £33 per month
+£7 for priortisation
It looks about the same to me.

I think the Plusnet numbers you are quoted are Residential not Business? Or can you give me a link, because at that price I am interested?
My numbers are all Business, and all for Broadband only - line not included.
My numbers are for non-fibre unlimited broadband
I would prefer to stay with Plusnet so as long as they get close I will stay, but I have contacted them twice and each time its £20 + £7 per month they tell me

£20 + £7 seems correct. From the legal bits on the Plusnet Business pages
Unlimited Business Broadband when taken without Plusnet line rental
    On a 24 month contract, in a low cost area it costs £15.00 a month and outside of one of these areas it costs £20.00 a month.
    On a 12 month contract, in a low cost area if costs £17.00 a month and outside of one of these areas it costs £22.00 a month.
VAT to be added, of course.

Went to "Check what's available..." and got £10 for 12 months and £18 for remaining 12 months, plus £7 per month prioritisation. *BUT* that included having to take line rental from Plusnet. I want a broadband only deal.

I noticed that too.
If you want to keep your line rental with BT, Plusnet Business Broadband is pricey.
If you switch the line rental to Plusnet, Business Broadband is competetively priced.
No brainer for us, the line is only used for broadband so don't really care who the line rental is with.
