your exchange has been enabled for multicast services on fibre lines" What is it

I have Fibre extra and have noticed that BT Wholesale checker now says this when I in put my  phone number on the ADSL checker.
"Furthermore your exchange has been enabled for multicast services on fibre lines, please contact your provider for further details."
I am on the Broadstone Exchange in Dorset. I cant find anything on the plusnet website, what are "multicast services" ? Do Plusnet provide them, do I want them, it would be useful to know.

It's to do with broadcasting, e.g. iptv some info here http://www.openreach.co.uk/orpg/home/products/super-fastfibreaccess/multicast/multicast.do
