wifi & slowdowns

I am no expert on networks so i need to ask a question .
I have a unlimited fibre connnection and i get a steady 72 down , 17 up with my netgear wnr1000v3 , and very rarely heve problems , except i get slowdowns during most evenings my speed never alters just web page load times slow down and gameing is affected .
My main PC is wired , but my son has a laptop which is on mostly evenings , i also have my TV wired to my router alto used rarely at night for iplayer etc.
the question is would either the TV or Laptop likely to be the cause of the slowdowns ?
if it is how do i set up the router QOS to limit the bandwidth if i need to .
Or is it unlikely that this is the problem , the laptop is mostly on FBook not downloading .

Hey rongtw,
Can I just double check, are you all seeing slowdowns at peak times, regardless of the device you're using? Would it be possible to test it, by just using the PC that's wired for 5-10 minutes to see if the issue is local or not?

@chris , i used to get this berfore PN did some network updates and for some time it was ok .
but before i say its PN network again i was just trying to ensure it was not my end causing the problem .
as to your question evenings the TV i player is slower ,the laptop still the same , well at least he hasnt said any different .
the TV and laptop are recent aditions to my connection

I'm not aware of any works that might affect this to be honest.
Is this something that happens every evening without fail? I'm just trying to build up a good picture so I have something to take away
