who turned off the internet

Just had/having a lack of anything online, only here and the portal work
edit: currently on  ptw-ag03
edit mk2: switched dns servers and look to be back to normal, I was using 212.159.6.9 primary 208.67.220.220 secondary, now 208.67.220.220 primary and 8.8.4.4 secondary, so you have sick DNS servers at the moment
FTTP 500 regrade from Tues 28th November

Re: who turned off the internet

Yep it sucks atm. (as it has for the past week)
Ive changed DNS on the PC, but certain appliances dont have that option.  Guess I need to set it in my router..  cause its getting a bit tiresome now.
Came on here to see if anyone else is seeing the same thing..  then noticed there's a long thread about it. Sad

Re: who turned off the internet

Quick question - would this issue (with DNS) vary between different routers?  My Thomson is OK but a TP-LINK I've been trying suddenly loses the internet after a few hours (especially with Android clients).  Oh, and where's the DNS issue thread?  Cheers.

Re: who turned off the internet

Most recent DNS thread was DNS seems high but it diverged into benchmarking DNS servers.
It shouldn't vary between routers much, but I've always thought that the default small DNS proxy in most routers seems to offer no benefits and just adds one more thing to go wrong.
