I need to replace my old router a D-Link DSL2740B can not cope with skype and the wireless struggles even though it's a small house, it keeps dropping out, but Ive had it many years so can't complain, would the one Plusnet use now be ok or what would you suggest? house has four students if that is a consideration.

I'd say the current 'Technicolor' TG582N router issued by Plusnet is resoundingly okay. Some people get along fine with it but a minority run into difficulties, for example as per http://community.plus.net/forum/index.php/topic,108698.0.html
