where does all my speed go...

router says      10603   
bt profile says 9000
plusnet profile caps me at 9000
speed test and i end up at 6500
so where does all my bandwidth go?

It could simply be congestion.
what time of day did you test?
What tester did you use?

Just for comparison, I'm very pleased to get 4999kbps download on BT Speedtest just measured at 10:48 on a sync of 6652 and a profile of 5500.
This is on a line with an estimated speed of 3.5M, this is why I'm happy.  Using a very cheap SafeCOM router that I bought because my Belkin was failing.
There are so many influences on Broadband in general, you need to check speed at different times of day etc. to be at all conclusive, if there is a problem then the forum 'gurus'or PN staff will definitely try to help.
