Why do PlusNet engineers have to be so secretive about what they have done to attempt to rectify a fault? Several times I have had this phrase quoted at me when dealing with questions, and it doesn't inspire confidence. A lot of PlusNet customers are fairly tech-savvy and would prefer to know what has been done. It's better to have the info - even if you don't understand you can always ask someone what it means or Google it.

It's a possibility that PlusNet have a piece of software that checks and adjusts your account when the account is out of kilter with reality. It's not necessarily clear what has been changed or why it should be changed.

Alot of the maintenance the CSC guys perform is a simple refresh of the component. Each item on your account (mailboxes, hompages, ccgi etc) is a separate component, refreshing this basically rebuilds the information held in the db about this.
