using netgear dgn2200 as wirelesss AP with fibre?

So the engineer has  been today but I cannot connect through my net gear router? I have been looking at how to put it in "bridge" modebut have read that rthis may not be possible?
I'm pretty stuck with no internet now I will open a ticket to get a modem sent but am hoping someone will be able to offer some help
