what do i need to use my own router instead of this technicolour one?
im assuming a username and password to go on the new router anything else?

Us staff may not be able to do this but if you can post the make and model of the router some of the ever-so-knowledgeable community bods may be able to give you some guidance if you need it.

its a sagemcom sagem f@st 2504n (sky)
i flashed it with a custom firmware that unlocks hidden menu's but not looked at it proper yet.
i never had a single problem with it ever
