upload throughput dropping

Hi
I'm on fibre unlimited.  My upload rate starts to drop from my possible maximum when the openreach modem has been on a few days.  If the modem is rebooted, the maximum attainable starts to drop.
The maximum throughput I seem to get is around 1.2MBps and it drops to being 990KBps,  it might not sound like much, but makes a  big difference in file transfers from my server to work.
I've tried both HTTP and FTP.
I can't give any stats as you know the modem is locked down.

Re: upload throughput dropping

Hi,
Thanks for taking the time post Smiley
Does the same thing happen when uploading elsewhere?

Re: upload throughput dropping

Hi I can't really test anywhere else, but I'm an IT Technician and our connection at work is a 100Mbps pipe to a datacentre, and regularly receive real world speeds of 7MBps for internet downloads.

Does my line stats show any information that doesn't look quite right?

Re: upload throughput dropping

Hi chrish16,
I assume you are referring to your home connection here?
I've checked your line stats which shows everything fine. Ideally we could do with testing an upload to a different website/server to ensure that it isn't a problem with the server you're uploading to.
