Re: upgrading to wireless n router, is it worth it?

HPSauce is correct but extremely succinct.  If your sync rate is 7616 kbps then your IP Profile should be 6500 kbps.  So 6500 kbps = 6.5 Mbps is the fastest download you could ever achieve.  A good strong wireless connection with wireless g should give you 54 Mbps so if all you are concerned about is broadband speed then the speed bottleneck is your telephone line running at 6.5 Mbps.  However if your computer is far from the router then you may not be getting the full-speed wireless signal.  Your computer should tell you how fast the connection actually is.  The number may vary but if it ever drops below 6.5 Mbps then you might benefit from a wireless n router.

Actually if it drops as low as 11mbps regularly you MAY benefit.
In reality wireless throughput is only a fraction (third, maybe half) of the connection speed.

Looks like Inssider 2.0 - that's what I use.

it was, but I have found, dont leave it on if you connect to router  via WiFi, if really slows you down
