Ive been using the plusnet service for few years now, and im currently on the "up to 8mbps" and getting about 4mbps.
My problem lies in ping. I always have the highest ping even if the server is in my area.
On speedtests, i tested my local server and the ping was almost 100.
There is a game im currently playing that only shows up to 500 ping. Before, i had average 180 ping(server is located in california) but now its always 500.
my new computer specs:

What game are you playing? It's quite important so that we can make sure that it's being prioritised correctly on our network.

I'm afraid it appears you don't quite understand how the ADSL works. You connect to a Plusnet Gateway in London and all traffic has to go through that gateway. So if you live in the north of Scotland and you pinged your next door neighbour it would be around 1000 mile trip for the signal to reach him and another 1000 mile trip for it to get back to you.
To get a base figure you need to ping a server in the Plusnet London data centre. E.g. one of the DNS servers:
C:\Documents and Settings\John>ping 212.159.6.10
Pinging 212.159.6.10 with 32 bytes of data:
Reply from 212.159.6.10: bytes=32 time=13ms TTL=251
Reply from 212.159.6.10: bytes=32 time=13ms TTL=251
Reply from 212.159.6.10: bytes=32 time=12ms TTL=251
Reply from 212.159.6.10: bytes=32 time=12ms TTL=251
Ping statistics for 212.159.6.10:
Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 4, Lost = 0 (0% loss),
Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:
Minimum = 12ms, Maximum = 13ms, Average = 12ms
I'm near Brighton hence the low ping. You can use tracert (or pathping for a more thorough analysis) to see where the delays are occurring.
Edit: Do you know if you have interleaving on or off? Off gives a lower throughput but better pings and is often preferred by gamers.

at the moment there is only a US server, and i never had a problem with it. Even if a game server is located in london + i live in london the ping still exceeds expectations

As for you using a wireless router for a FPS game, well half the problem is the Wifi. Wifi is fine for MMO's but not FPS games where Ping and slow downs/packet loss is a killer in game.
As an ex UT player would advise you use a wired connection too your router when gaming and Not wi-fi
But having had a quick scan of the forum I see US players also having Ping issues so there are game issues with the server hosting. They are a few thousand miles closer and not Ping crippled as US hosted servers adds 100-150 to you ping fromt he start.

The remaining time is all outside of the Plusnet network and there is nothing that can be done to improve that. If low pings to that particular server are really important to your only option is that you emigrate to live in the USA and use a USA ISP.
