Re: uPnP disabled after TG582N reboot

How are you checking that, how are you setting it in the first place?

Re: uPnP disabled after TG582N reboot

I enable it via the setting in the admin page, it then says enabled and upnp services work.
Reboot the router, upnp stop working and checking the admin page it is back to disabled.
Can be replicated on every reboot.

When you say reboot, can you be specific on what you are doing to reboot?

Choosing the "restart router" option.
Or simply using the power button on the back.
The router is NOT factory resetting in case that is your next question.

Re: uPnP disabled after TG582N reboot

I have noticed this too, although not every reboot. I've seen it happen with power reduction mode too.

I did want to be sure you weren't inadvertently Resetting Wink
I assume these are both TG582n's without USB sockets?
What firmware version have each of you got?

Re: uPnP disabled after TG582N reboot

10.2.2.B here. No USB.
Thanks for the interest in this. Not a particularly significant issue but a curious one nevertheless.

Re: uPnP disabled after TG582N reboot

Have you ever saved the configuration backup file when things are set as you want?

Re: uPnP disabled after TG582N reboot

Hmmm, are you "familiar" with the CLI at all?

Re: uPnP disabled after TG582N reboot

It's a yes to familiarity with the CLI here.
Last time I did this I configured the settings via the CLI, did the saveall command, checked the changes had registered, but they still didn't seem to survive rebooting (both from power button or restarting router option).

Re: uPnP disabled after TG582N reboot

Well done, that was the suggestion I was going to make.
OK, I'd say this is one for Matt Turner and Graham Turnbull at Plusnet.

Re: uPnP disabled after TG582N reboot

Worth knowing about as I imagine it could also give some Gamers some issues? Has it come up on the Gaming board? I haven't looked.
