tweak or adjust SNR down on adsl line

Switched to plusnet last month and generally happy - but my SNR DOWN is hovering around 1... With the previous supplier, it was 6. Is there anything plus net can do to change this ?

Is it causing any problems? If not, the lowest SNR margin will allow the highest speed.
