tp link 9980

Hi guys and girls
I want to know if there's a program like router stats lite that works with the tp link 9980.
Or am I doing something wrong and RSL will work.
I just want to see if my errors have stopped since I changed routers the line seems much more stable.
And if it has changed for the better getting my profile unlocked seems to be stuck @4544 because of previous problems
Thanks for any help

Try pointing at http://192.168.1.254/#__status.htm or whatever your ip address is.
Otherwise I don't know/use routerstats.

Re: tp link 9980

Your router isn't specifically listed as working with RSL (although other TP link routers are.)
May be worth trying to contact the software author to find out:

Re: tp link 9980

In Firefox, with the TP-Link status page open, if you go to Tools -> Web Developer -> Network, you should be able to see the current CRC and FEC counts if you click on one of the POST cgi?1&5 requests, then click on Response on the right hand side (see attached screenshot).

Re: tp link 9980

Ok so checked the stats (Ejs method) and the errors have cleared as far as i can tell..
But as I said before my sync speed is stuck at 4544 but my snr 8 even if I reboot it stays the same can someone reset my profile please.
I was getting a sync of 5200ish before all the problems started.
Much appreciated for any help
Ps please leave interleaving off  Wink

Re: tp link 9980

I'd guess DLM has banded your speed as that value is the upper limit of the band, so you need that removing and Interleaving turned off. Hopefully one the tech CRT guys will do that for you tomorrow.

Re: tp link 9980

Its already been done mate thx
Got a question for you though
With this router a can tell it how to connect ie ADSL,ADSL2 and ADSL2Plus
ADSL gives me the fastest sync speed what are the benefits of to other two on my line, upload sync is slightly down to about 990 ish cant remember off top of my head download sync 4900
ADSL2 Upload 1010 Download 4700
ADSL2Plus  Upload 1050 download 4600
I'm connected on ADSL at the minute all seems well unless you think its better on ADSL2/ADSL2Plus and take the slight hit on the sync speed
Thanks for your replies

Re: tp link 9980

It's all to do with Bit loading. I'd think it very unlikely that with your line attenuation it would be able to use many (if any) tones above 255 and so setting it to ADSL(1) is more likely to give you a better and more stable connection. You could look at Bit loading using the full version of RouterStats but you might have to go back to the TG582n to do that.
Did you ever get the US SNRM,  also the CRC errors resolved? Sorry I didn't post back further on that issue with any bright ideas..

Re: tp link 9980

It turned out it was the WiFi extender part of my home plugs.
I disabled it and the interference stopped still use them through the Ethernet work perfectly.
I will probably leave things as they are, Its all working fine kids ain't crying every five minutes about ping/lag.
Thanks for everybodys help
Scott......until the next time.......
