I don't think EE offer SOADSL - they certainly don't in my ADSL only area.

But there's no need yet. We don't know what will happen in the next 12 months. The OP has sufficient up and down bandwidth to support a VoIP service, providing it's connected to a router with voice QoS priority, such as those provided by BT/EE..

And I'm also not certain BT will commission a sub 2Mbps ADSL line (maybe not sub-USO?) <if there's a wireless alternative>

But if there's no mobile reception either?

You are quite right to hang on as you are. Once your email hosting is transferred to Greenby then that's one less thing for you to worry about.

@stathe

Have you registered with PN as "vulnerable"? If not, you should do so via your Member's page on PN. This ensures they take more care when the change over finally arrives.

Did you check the OR website as I suggested. The response to the post code checker will be one of the following.

1. We have no plans to build Full Fibre to this property yet
2. We’re planning to build in this area
3. We’ll be building in this area in the next year
4. We’re building in this area now
5. Available to order soon
6. Available to order now

Re: too slow to use

@stathe

Most of the addresses I checked in TA7 0JL show OR plan to build in the area. However I did find one where there are no plans a present.

If you send me a Private Message (click on "bmc") with your actual address I'll check for you.

Re: too slow to use

@stathe

Thanks for the PM.

On running the post code on the OR site there was only one address for <Redacted> which returned the result that OR are planning to build in your area. Probably means not in the next year but you never know.

"We're planning to build in this area

This means that while we're planning on building to your area in the future, our plans to build to this property aren't confirmed yet. But they could be soon as we're aiming to build Full Fibre to 25 million homes and businesses by December 2026 and we're not stopping there.

We intend to keep building after that too. That's further and faster than any other broadband network in the UK.

If you register your interest, we’ll keep you updated and let you know as soon as Full Fibre is available - so you can upgrade to the UK’s most reliable broadband technology."
