thomson V8 router

I just got a V8 router from PN as I was having some connection issues with the V7
Do the following stats look OK to people:
Uptime: 0 days, 1:28:56
DSL Type: G.992.1 annex A
Channel mode: Interleave
Maximum Bandwidth (Up/Down) [kbps/kbps]: 912 / 5,152
Bandwidth (Up/Down) [kbps/kbps]: 448 / 4,960
Data Transferred (Sent/Received) [kB/MB]: 0.00 / 30.83
Output Power (Up/Down) [dBm]: 11.5 / 19.5
Line Attenuation (Up/Down) [dB]: 29.0 / 48.5
SN Margin (Up/Down) [dB]: 21.0 / 7.0
Vendor ID (Local/Remote): TMMB / ALCB
Loss of Framing (Local/Remote): 0 / 0
Loss of Signal (Local/Remote): 0 / 0
Loss of Power (Local/Remote): 0 / 0
Loss of Link (Remote): 0
Error Seconds (Local/Remote): 0 / 0
FEC Errors (Up/Down): 0 / 1,199
CRC Errors (Up/Down): 5 / 7
HEC Errors (Up/Down): 0 / 49

I'm wondering why the Max Bandwith Up is so high compared to the actual where as the Down values are prettty close.

Re: thomson V8 router

Looking very good. I have just got one of these and they are very stable. Your SNR is currently 7dB so if you restart the router you should be able to get more speed. Or, keep monitoring the margin and if it goes up, to say 8dB restart it and you will be able to get even more speed hopefully. Then leave it alone and your speed will increase within 3-5 days.

Re: thomson V8 router

Its 7 now but when the sun goes down it drops - I'm on overhead cables to the house - so I think I'll see what it looks like tonight and if stays high then I'll restart the router.
