so how do i stop the errors ? or do i have to put up with it
PS yes am in test socket , no extensions , no noise on phone , connected PC to router RJ45 cable CAT 6

One thing different on yours though is the high number of up HEC errors. That is, I suspect your problem.
I expect someone who knows what they are talking about, unlike me, will be along soon with some suggestions.

i think i will have to live with it for the moment , this is my 3rd from PN & no point in changing it again, hopefully in the next few months i should be able to get FTTC hopefull it will be a lot better

I wonder if bit-loading plots from Routerstats would throw any light on what is happening?
The full version of Routerstats works "out of the box" with the TG585v7 or v8, enter normal router login information on its login settings page. This post suggests other settings to use though in this case I think attention needs to be placed on upstream characteristics.

My plot is attached - capped upstream. (My plot shows downstream problems especially around tone 200 which are a feature of my environment.)

I'm not sure the "drops" on the TX-noise margin plot have any significance. They aren't happening all the time and I see them on my connection (but not on RX) without upstream errors accumulating.
I think "try a different router" is likely to be suggested as the next step, though since you've tried 3 Thomsons already one of a different make is desirable. Have Plusnet done any line tests?
