tecnicolor tg582n router

recently ive encountered a number of occasions when Ive lost internent connections when this happens my ethernet/ internet and wireless lights start flashing ,I then get a message from the troubleshooter to allow a fix when I go through to process of fixing it says my wiring is ok and to switch off and on my router this seems to correct the problem .I have raised a ticket on a previous failure and been told theres no fault with my line but
what Im asking could there be a fault with my router ,and do I need a relacement

Yes because that £45 router is as much use as a block of cheese with ethernet cables plugged in to it. Smiley
Send it back get your £5 back and get a BT Home Hub from ebay,  problem solved.

Unfortunately the routers dont have the best of reputation
Asus ROG Hero Vii Z97 , Intel i5 4690k ,ROG Asus Strix 1070,
samsung 850evo 250gig , WD black 2 TB . Asus Phoebus sound ,
16 gig Avexir ram 2400 , water cooling Corsair H100i gtx ,
Corsair 750HXI Psu , Phanteks Enthoo pro case .

Re: tecnicolor tg582n router

thanks all for your advice, after reading a number of post this router seems to be causing a number of issues ,hopefully plusnet will take note and issue a more reliable router , after all it might cost a little more but the saving for plusnet in attending to solving problems and replacing routers would surely outweigh any additional cost.
