Can someone from Plus Net upgrade my technicolor tg582n  firmware to 10.2.2.B remotely please you can upgrade it now thanks

Agreed can i also request this as the update tool fails (and no web interface to do this?!) might help solve the glitchy wifi issues currently having

Did anyone remotely upgrade your firmware through this forum request?
I have a Linux computer and remote upgrade might be the only way for me
@Plusnet - please say what info you need to upgrade my firmware remotely?
Do I need to change any setting on my browser configuration page to give you access?
Do I need to backup in case the upgrade fails?
Do I need to disconnect my devices from network first?

It's possible (although not simple) to update the firmware via TFTP. There some info here http://beusergroup.co.uk/technotes/index.php/Modem_Firmware

Software Release: 8.4.4.J

There are several "latest" versions for the tg582n! Here's the link to choose:

My modem is the one without the USB port, and I'm on ADSL, so it's 10.2.2 B
My gripe is the flashing program is only available for Windows XP and 7.
Windows 8 has been out for over a year yet still ignored by Plusnet - why???
I used a Windows 8 box but had to fiddle with the compatibility mode first.

The flasher software is from Technicolor, so not exactly PlusNet's fault as such. Maybe they can pass the feedback on to them and see if they come out with something compatible.

that's doesn't help narrow it down then as there are 2 ADSL non-USB ones listed there

The bigger number is the later one ie 10.2.2.B
