Re: super user password 585 v7

You tried 'admin' as the user and leaving the password blank?

Re: super user password 585 v7 ( + other stuff)

error stats certainly has a bug in it. line atten is down from 49-50db on my netgear to 47 on the 585 but no better sync

Re: super user password 585 v7 ( + other stuff)

I didn't even know there was a superuser access, I knew about the one for o2 but that was only so you could actually see the stats as the firmware wasn't standard and users couldn't access the information, it's available to view on the PN one

Re: super user password 585 v7 ( + other stuff)

may be there isnt then. ive had play through all the CLI and ive not bein stoped at any point so it does apper to allow complete access on the admin user rights.
i still think the router is pants thoe. i switched back to my netgear at about 9pm and it gave me away better sync than what the 585 with a sync at midday did. 100kbps extra upsteam and 400kbps downstream.
done a library pieace on forceing the adsl modulation on 21cn

who does the reviewing of newly summited library write ups?

i switched back to my netgear

I've gone the opposite way and swapped my netgear for the speedtouch, I found my netgear was dropping sessions although all the lights were lit there was nobody home, been fine since I've been using the speedtouch the netgear was a DG834v4, I've got a 2wire in the house somewhere so one day I'm going to dig it out and give it a try

Re: super user password 585 v7 ( + other stuff)

just had ago at what i like to call the poor mans dmz on this router and assigned the wan ip to my xbox.
guess what every single device in the house lost its net including the xbox.
looking on the xbox network config it had picked up the public ip but was shocked to see the routers lan ip had changed from the normal 192.168.1.254 to somthing else yet the 1st dns was the normal 192.168.1.254 ip and the second dns was somthing totaly random.
didnt get chance to write all the ip's down as i had an angry mob wanting to know why there net was down, try again when its only me on the net.
