strange key

HI, hope I'm in the right area!
If I go to Network > internet > manage wireless networks, (win 7), under security tab the key is shown as :7C1EBFA16A8A43D9EB053050658D48F5CE4779EA09DED6C01B333643FC7F05FD, and not the key shown on the router, is this OK?

Whilst I do not know the detail around this, if it's working do not worry!  I would not expect any security key to be sorted anywhere in 'plain' text.  I suggest that what you have found in the registry (a dangerous place to mess around in) is a hashed version of your wifi security key.

This is not the registry this is CONTROL PANEL > NETWORK AND INTERNET > MANAGE WIRELESS NETWORKS > SECURITY.

WPA2-PSK wireless security uses a 64 byte hex key like the one you have given. (PS I suggest you remove it)
Most of the time you will use a Passphrase when configuring your router or clients, as it's easer than typing a 64 byte key.
This is converted with the SSID into the 64 byte hex key. This website will convert an ESSID and Passphrase onto the 64 byte key.
